Cafe' Desert Island

Trisha over at Zest tagged me last week, unbeknown to me as I was running around like a headless chicken. What exactly does this mean? Every headless chicken I have met was wrapped nicely in butcher paper... Regardless, I've have also tagged three bloggers below, but really anyone can play. The rules are as follows:

You are stranded on a deserted island for an indefinite amount of time. You can bring along five food items and are allowed one sentence to justify your decision. It is an island so assume plentiful fish, coconuts, and sea salt. Storage is not an issue, as you also have a large solar powered refrigerator. Play along, tag who you want, and link back to me.

Hmm. I have played this desert island cast-a-away game many time's before. Like the top 4 cd's (George Michael - 25, Sting - All This Time LIVE, Dave Matthew's Band - Listener Supported LIVE, and Jimmy Buffet - Feeding Frenzy) and 3 dvd's (Practical Magic, Chocolat, American Psycho) and of course the ever entertaining top 3 men other then who yer with(Simon Baker, Daniel Craig, Kurt Warner) . I just played that last one right now. Shh.

So here we go:

1) I have been watching this season's survivor and they find limes everywhere - so I really don't need the citrus for scurvy protection (ha Trish) but could I pass a day without grapefruits... NOT A CHANCE, love citrus.

2) Chickens. To lay eggs for food and ultimately more chickens that will in turn lay more eggs for more food and more chickens and soon I have roasted chicken... and a farm.

3) Wheat. For bread and bagels and pita and oh yea, to also help feed all the chickens that are taking over the island.

4) Goats. To make milk and thus more goats for meat and more milk and more goats for meat and milk so that I can make butter and cheese for my bagels... and to keep the chickens company.

5) Raspberries. Very high in fiber and nutrients and anti-carcinogenics and they will flavor the cream cheese for my bagels splendidly!

If I had 6 choices I would have also brought rum. With all those limes and coconuts... Who wouldn't?! Mmm mmm good.

I am tagging Megan at Megan's Munchies, Emily at Just Eat Food, and Dena at Mommy-licious.

Oh by the way - starting Monday look for a new look to Bodacious Girl! I'll have some new daily features, more recipes and much more taste tempting photos. It will be so good you will want to lick your monitor! (Might want to dust it off first...) See you Monday! bug.gif
