Ummmm... I am sorry but W T F ?
I am so far removed from the sensationalism on the news I don't even know how I saw this. But I tell you I had to check the calendar to see if it was April Fools Day. It is a serious sad state of the world when we think that a simple scarf worn by Rachael Ray while she plugs Dunkin Donuts latte's is a cry for a jihad. But I guess in the world we live in someone had to be the moron. Todays moron award goes to Michelle Malkin who said on her site: "...many readers have e-mailed about, Dunkin Donuts' spokeswoman Rachel Ray's clueless sporting of a jihadi chic keffiyeh in a recent DD ad campaign. I'm hoping her hate couture choice was spurred more by ignorance than ideology."
HATE COUTURE? Wow. A black and white paisley scarf with fringe is now a freakin' political statement?!? And um, Rachael Ray is IGNORANT because she was dressed by wardrobe and they obviously were trying to state a jihad against who? WINCHELL'S? Or wait wait I know Einstein Brothers Bagels - because the world can only have one round delight with hole in the middle, but Rachael ignored that and threw that scarf on anyway? Yessssss all those beautiful cherry blossoms and blue skies say radical violence. Ooh my head.
It is you Michelle who is spreading the hatred, the fear, the ignorance, the intolerance, the panic, the racism, shall I go on?
Haters need to take a deep look in the mirror and figure out what gives them the right to judge. The world is fractured my friends. And without a little compassion, tolerance, love and mind set to live and let live we are on a set course for losing it all.
I told myself when I started this up that I would not get political or preachy, because goddess knows there is enough of that out there already. So I am not trying to do either with this post. I just wanted to let off a little steam about the ignorance that's around us.
And to remind myself this:

I know, when I saw this I was like you have got to be fucking kidding me. What the hell!? I mean I have seen women wearing scarves like this for freaking ever. Jihad didn't put the patent on wearing scarves. I put a towel on my head when I get out of the shower, it doesn't mean I support terrorism. God almighty, people get their knickers in a twist over the dumbest stuff.
